Today is time to think about your family. Are there any special needs that you need to consider to put in your 72 hour kits? For example, I have one kit that is my “baby” kit. This has #6 diapers in them (even if I have a newborn I will make these work) because I was tired switching out the diapers every time my baby grew. It is also an old diaper bag because I knew that my baby wouldn’t be carrying it and that would be easy to carry.
Now is the time to think about the needs of your family, do you have pets? Do you have a member of your family that is wheelchair bound or needs special medical equipment? Evaluate your individual family needs and plan accordingly.
