Starting the first week in January I will be posting a weekly checklist to help you assemble 72 hour kits for your family. The postings will be for basic, mid-grade, and advanced kits. Whether you have a kit or not, this will give you a chance to check it and evaluate the contents. Since there will be just one thing to focus on a week it is not as overwhelming. You will be surprised by how many things are already in your house and there will be little out-of-pocket expense.
