As I read and watch the news updates about Hurricane Irene I am surprised by how many report about long lines and empty shelves at grocery stores. There are even calls that many of the populated East Coast cities be evacuated and people are going to the grocery stores. If I received an evacuation notice, I would grab my 72 hour kits, my children, computer (photos and videos) and leave. Can you do the same thing? Could you "grab and go" if you had to evacuation your city? Since I already have 72 hour kits for my family, I don't have to go to the grocery store. I can spend my time leaving town. How prepared are you?
