Today is an extra emphasis on clothes. Make sure to include clothing that is durable and preferably comfortable, don’t put your “skinny” jeans into the kit :). If you have extra room include a hat and gloves for added warmth if you need to use your kit during the colder months.
Now is a great time to purchase hats and gloves. I got 2 pair of stretchy gloves at Target (my favorite store) for $.50. So all 7 kits have gloves for $4 (with one pair left over for when my children loose one).
