These two basic items have nothing to do with each other, but both are important to a 72 hour kit—work gloves and matches. In an emergency we have no idea what will be required of us, but having work gloves can not only help us in accomplishing tasks but they can also provide warmth in cold weather.
The matches can not only start a fire but they can be used to sanitized needles or pins for first aid emergencies.
